Main Stream or Up the Creek?

Row Row Row

Finally “Fellow Americans” are waking up to the fact our “representatives” have been taking them/us for granted and concerning themselves with their own interests instead of our own. While it is distinctly both sides of the aisle, it has culminated in a backlash to the blatantly overt (and arrogant) pushing of the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda onto the backs of the American (tax paying) people.

The demonstration over the weekend in DC was in some reporting indicated as the largest gathering of protesters in the city ever. One doesn’t even have to go that far to recognize that  people are standing up to say they/we have had it! And it is about time!

The phrase “elections have consequences” was touted profusely after the last presidential election, but it has been an accumulated set of consequences for a long time. The workhorse(s) of America have had their heads down working, building homes and families, toeing the line and being ignored while the “have nots” have been wined and dined and catered to for the mere admission price of a vote.

This is not to be condescending in any way, all of us are at different times one step away from “have-not-ness.” The difference in this country is we all have the opportunity (called freedom) to work our way up and out of it: should we chose to do so. (I would hope it goes without saying that those who are not capable of “lifting themselves” are compassionately offered “hands of help.”)

We cannot do so however if our own government is saddling us with unbridled debt and imposition on our rights as free people…and the free people, are starting to get it…big time.
