“I know there’s been a lot of attention paid to some of the town hall meetings that are going on around the country, especially those where tempers have flared. You know how TV loves a ruckus.”
No, Mr President, these are the People in this country who are tired of your tactics of jamming your personal agenda down the throats of the people you arrogantly expect to “step in line” pay for it. If you want changes in Health Care, how about fixing existing problems instead of and before adding new ones. To suggest you want to reform Health Care with no mention of Tort Reform or vigorous pursuit of fraud and rampant wasteful spending in programs already run by government entities is a joke.
The people are flexing our “constitutional” (which you are supposed to know something about) right to “voice” our opinions about what our “representatives,” including yourself, are doing or trying to do (to us). These are the people who don’t want you sticking your government fingers into our non-government lives and tell us how to live … or die. The anger is coming from the people who actually make this country function with their hard work and service coming down with a “sore throat.”
