“For the people” has become “for the Party” today and not even that! It has become for the Left Wing Fringe of the Party. I don’t even think most Democrats like what’s going on with this bunch of narcissistic nuts, but it is like being on a bus just going along with where the bus driver is going. However, you have to be looking out the window wondering “where are we?” and “where are we going?” Wake up people because your bus drivers are driving all of us off the cliff.
I will only pick the top two “bus drivers” to make the point, but you can easily catch the drift from these examples. Our/your future (which will affect you immensely) is in the hands of a minuscule number of people.

California’s 8th congressional district covers most of the City and County of San Francisco except for the southwestern parts of the city that are part of the 12th District.
The 8th district is one of the most reliably Democratic districts in the country, though progressive third parties like the Green Party often poll well in the district. It is geographically the smallest congressional district in the nation outside of New York City.[1] Democrat Nancy Pelosi, the House Minority Leader from 2002 to 2007 and the current Speaker of the House, has represented the district since 1993 when the area was redistricted from the 5th district.

The 8th District gave John Kerry his best performance in California in 2004, taking in 84.2% of the vote. Barack Obama continued on this trend in 2008 when he received 85.22% of the vote in the district while John McCain received 12.38%.

These are just the two people at the top of the list of “representatives” who are manipulating and jamming detrimental changes to our business and social way of life down our throats. The bills are thousands of pages long. No one even knows what is in them, and whatever isn’t in them they meant to put in, they will just add later. All behind closed doors. It is ludicrous! I put this example together to plant it in your mind the understanding of HOW FEW people in this country are involved (and dedicated) in changing the fabric of our entire society!
The last election was not a mandate. Obama received 52% of the vote. And that’s only because McCain was the opponent! If you do not want to see the erosion in your liberties and diminishing of your ability to earn a living (even more so than now) that these people represent, you’d better get up and say something about it. Otherwise, these (few) people, who do not care about you in the slightest, will run right over you/us!
